I’ve been off the blogging world for quite some time because of Twitter. Hopefully 2012 will be better.

Let’s start the year with one of the most talked-about TV series, Sherlock. It’s going to take a while before I published my review for each episode, so for now I’m starting it with my theories on The Reichenbach Fall.

It pains me to announce that the manga streaming site One Manga has announced that this is their last week of hosting scanlations. They will remove all content by next week. *sniff sniff*

This site has saved me from insanity many, many times. I learned lots of philosophical stuff here, more than what I’ve picked up from books that I’ve read for the past 20+ years.

You will be sorely missed.

Last Saturday, tropical storm Ondoy (international name Ketsana) wreaked havoc in my hometown, the Philippines. It left Metro Manila and the neighboring provinces severely flooded, submerging even houses and vehicles in some areas. This is the worst flooding that the capital experienced in more than 40 years. Days after the storm, the problem now is to deliver food, water, clothing and medicines to the people displaced by the flood. (More information can be found here.)

No thanks to OnelineNIC Inc. Argh. I’ve waited for months for the domain transfer to be approved, and I ended up registering a new domain instead. Talk about wasting time. *sigh*

Unfortunately, most of my previous entries are now lost in cyberspace, because I forgot to back-up my files. I could of course retrieve my old entries manually, or retrieve some of my entries through the first version of this site (hosted by Friendster). But then, I decided to start from scratch.

This is Flavor of the Day, dedicated to anything that catches my attention at a particular moment.
